Before midterm, 5th class were busy learning all about the stages of the water purification process in Ireland, with an emphasis on the importance of treating and using water wisely. Today we carried out a water purification experiment, and were stunned at how effective cotton wool, sand and gravel are in filtering impurities from muddy water. The filtered water that trickled through had us in awe! We had fun writing up this experiment and drawing diagrams.
