Today we investigated in groups, how effective different materials are as heat insulators. We had plastic, metal and ceramic bowls, warm water, and thermometers, checking temperature of the water every few minutes. We discovered that the plastic bowl was the best heat insulator, as it retained the warm water temperature far better than the other bowls. It's fun being scientists!
