Seachtain Na Gaeilge and Irish proverbs
23rd Mar 2023
Over the last two weeks we have been making a really big effort to speak more Irish and collect as many 'Maith Thú' cards as possible.
We have also taken a look at old Irish proverbs and their meanings. 'Seanfhocal' is the Irish word for proverb, literally meaning 'old word'.
As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, we will be singing 'Tóg Amach Mé (Wagon Wheel) in the hall for everyone!
Take a look below at some of the Irish proverbs we have been learning.
