The Sam Maguire Cup came to visit St George’s last week. Our GAA coach, Anthony, brought the cup to our school along with Dublin player, James Doran.
James told us all about how it felt to play in Croke Park and to win the All-Ireland Football Final. He also answered lots of questions from pupils. James started playing with his local GAA club, Na Fianna, when he was four years old. He now plays for Dublin and trains four to five times a week. When asked what the key to success is, James told us how important it is to never give up on your dreams and to be a good team player.
Dublin have won the last five All-Ireland Finals. Will they do it again this year!? Up the Dubs!!
