Olympian Visit
25th Nov 2024
Orla Comerford visited our school on 25th November. She is a Para Olympian who won a bronze medal in Paris this year. She was a nice, respectful person and we are all vey appreciative for her visit to St George's. We really enjoyed her speech.
She was explaining to us about her vision and how she started as a Para Olympian. She also let 6th class hold her Olympic medal. It was very heavy. She also explained that she has a app on her phone that allows her to see words easier. She was also telling us about her dog Sully. He is a cute dog but she said when she brings him for walks and he runs away it's bad because she can't see stuff far away and it can he hard to find him. She said that as a kid she loved running. She is from South Dublin.
