Keeping Active in 2nd Class!
4th Dec 2020
We’ve all spent quite a lot of time stuck indoors recently – this can have a negative affect on both our physical and mental health. In 2nd Class, however, we are trying to think of ways to combat these problems. We have made a list of things we can do to keep moving – at school, at home and out and about!
Keeping Active at School
- Go Noodle Website/App – dance activities between lessons
- Classroom exercise – jogging on the spot, star jumps, Simon Says, Deir Ó’ Grádaigh, etc.
- PE – 1 hour per week
Keeping Active at Home
- Don’t stay in one place for too long!
- Create games with your siblings
- Dance to your favourite music
- Create a play or a show with your siblings
- Pretend you have your own TV show
- Create a treasure hunt or play ‘hot and cold’
- Help out with household chores
Out and About
- Go for a walk on the beach or in the park
- Organise to meet friends somewhere safe to play football, ‘the floor is lava’, race or complete obstacle courses
- Go for a cycle with your family
