Objective: Investigate if a magnet can attract metal through a range of materials.
We chose 5 different materials: plastic (trays), paper, wood (table), cotton (jumpers), cardboard
Before we started our experiments we all made our predictions. Some of us thought the magnet would not be able to attract metal through any of the materials, while others thought it would only work with some materials.
We had a lot of fun completing the experiment and were surprised with how strong the magnets were and that they were able to attract metal through all the different materials we tested.
