This week we investigated forces that we see around us everyday and how they are affected by friction. We were given toy cars and a variation of materials (tin foil, card, paper, felt) to explore how the material of a road changes the level of friction between the car and the surface. We then discussed our findings and inferred which materials would be suitable for roads and which would not be.
