We had great fun today learning about the job of a civil and structural engineer, and then in teams designing and building our own state-of-the-art school buildings, strong enough to withstand the weigh of textbooks on top. Lot of great discussion amongst ourselves on what design techniques to employ, and problem solving to create the strongest structures possible. Our only materials were white paper, paper straws and cellotape!
