The Experiment:
We carried out a simple experiment to watch would happen to an egg’s shell (representing our tooth’s enamel) when it was left in sugar for a day or two.
The Results:
The egg (representing the enamel that protects our teeth) turned darker as it was covered in the sugar. When we used a toothbrush to clean it we noticed that there was a hole on one egg. This hole was like a cavity on our tooth. This is what can happen if we don’t brush our teeth twice a day or when we eat too much sugary food.
