Celebrating Global Citizenship in 5th Class
28th Feb 2024
This week Ms Anderson's class studied what it means to be a Global Citizen, and how we can play our part in so many easy ways; from respecting values and differences, to protecting the environment, helping others in need, promoting peace and understanding, even showing an interest in the world through watching documentaries, reading and growing an interest in global issues... all these are the traits of a great Global Citizen. We go forward now thinking more globally, but at the same time acting locally by supporting local businesses. Our focus of this week was on understanding the negative impact of the meat and dairy industry on our environment and climate. We all love burgers and icecream, but we now know that even one or two plant based meals a week is actually doing our bit towards environmental protection! Here's some great vegan recipes we research for breakfasts, lunches and dinners! Also be sure to read the shocking facts we have attached around our recipe ideas!
