Bouncing Balls
5th Feb 2024
Last week, first class had to identify and investigate which ball from a selection would bounce the highest when dropped. Everyone had a chance to feel the different balls and explain why they felt one ball would bounce the highest. Discussion about the size, weight and material of the balls caused interesting debate! We also discussed how to make the experiment fair before beginning.
The children concluded that it would be interesting to try the experiment again, this time using balls made of different materials but that were all the same size.
