Biodiversity Workshop
10th Oct 2024
Last Thursday Liz came in from Green Schools to do a Biodiversity workshop with our class. She gave us all a nature journal. Then she showed us a wide range of things she had found in Ireland as examples of Biodiversity. Some of the more interesting things she had were a deer jawbone, some preserved bumble bees and some interesting shells. We chose our favourite items and then sketched them into our journals. Then we went outside and drew some Biodiversity maps of the school grounds. Lastly we used clay to make pendants. We chose a leaf or seed from the school grounds and pressed them into the wet clay to create a design. It was a busy day and we learned a lot.
